Active Physical Science
Active Physical Science is a class that will be taught as an
inquiry-based, hands-on approach to studying those concepts
and skills in chemistry and physics that are considered
fundamental to the development of scientific literacy.
This course will include first-hand observation through lab
investigations, practical problem solving, and the use of technology. It will serve as a foundation for the pursuit of other science courses.

Eric Hollis
I was born and raised in a small town in Northwest Alabama named Sulligent. I attended Samford University in Birmingham where i majored in Biology/General Science, played baseball and graduated in 2005. After college, I played baseball for 4 years in the Chicago White Sox organization and was a hitting coach in the same organization for two years. During that time I also coached girls and boys basketball at Simmons Middle School in Hoover, AL. This will by my 7th year coaching varsity baseball at hoover and my 6th year teaching Forensics and Active Physical Science. In addition to my work at Hoover High School, I also coach 8th grade football at Simmons Middle School in Hoover. I am married to Natalie Hollis and have 3 dogs and a cat.
